How it works
Gold and silver grades are usually given in grams per tonne (g/t). Older US reports use troy ounces per short ton (oz/t). Base metals such as copper and zinc are given in percent.
1 g/t is 1 ppm. 1 oz/t is about 34.29 g/t. 1% is 10,000 g/t, or about 22.05 pounds of metal per tonne of rock.
